The Academy of Ballet and Etiquette gives young children positive and memorable experiences with classical culture. Our 30-minute ballet classes occur on the campuses of the schools they already attend — making the offer convenient for parents and comforting for the child.
Our classes use the stories and music of the great ballets to teach children ballet’s steps, manners and culture. In the process, children learn ballet as a sport, a set of moral codes, and a layered cultural experience.
Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and adapted for children up to second grade. We teach basic ballet skills and muscle awareness as a foundation for social grace and self-awareness.

We teach the actual vocabulary of ballet — positions, steps, and the muscle awareness that underlies all physical grace and coordination.
The etiquette already present in ballet — bowing, courtesy to partners, careful listening — becomes part of every child’s natural vocabulary.

Sara was trained in Vaganova ballet from a young age and danced with the Solano Civic Ballet until college, finishing as Snow Queen in the Nutcracker and soloist in Giselle. She brings both classical rigor and genuine warmth to every class.
Sara teaches across Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and the East Bay — always on-campus at the schools she serves, so children learn in a space they already know and trust.
Since incorporating Ms. Sara’s program we have noticed great confidence and poise within our students. She not only provides ballet lessons but children really learn to focus and develop good manners and listening skills.
